GPK Sketch Card History
Topps inserted hand-drawn artist sketch cards starting in the All New Series (ANS) 4 Garbage Pail Kids release. These cards were largely a hit amongst collectors. The ANS4 sketch cards were inserted at a rate of 1 per hobby box.
In 2010 Topps again decided to insert artist drawn sketch card in the Garbage Pail Kids Flashback (FB) release. The ratio for the sketches was approximately 1 for every 10 hobby boxes. This ratio sucked and a lot of collectors who purchased 8 box cases did not end up with a sketch card. The actual art on the sketch cards was greatly improved over the ANS4 release. You can check out the Wall Of Shame at GPKUG.
In 2011 Topps has again inserted hand drawn artist sketch cards into the Garbage Pail Kids Flashback 2 release. Some of the sketch cards are drawn on traditional card stock and some are drawn on Adam Bomb shaped punch-outs. The ratio for sketch cards in the FB2 release is 1:469 packs (this is super crappy odds of about 1 sketch for every 20 hobby boxes).
Some of the punch-out FB2 sketches that have surfaced so far have been extremely crappy and seem to have been drawn by “artists” who have nothing to do with GPK. Below you will see some examples of the worst GPK sketches I have seen.
Crappy Garbage Pail Kids Flashback 2 Punch-Out Sketches
I am assuming this sketch was supposed to be Wacky Jackie from U.S. OS1

Lame, lame and more lame…
WTF??
Here is the worst Galloping Glen I have ever seen:

This is just the beginning as the Garbage Pail Kids Flashback 2 release has just hit the market. So not only are the sketch card ratios really bad for FB2, the punch-out sketches are generally really poorly drawn. Keep your eye on eBay to see more of these really bad sketches not sell.
